Mustard, anyone?

I love vintage color combinations. It appears to me that earlier eras (60’s, 70’s, 80’s) were all about the color combinations. Today’s look is a classic mustard and brown. I love taking vintage pieces and making them my own. Try it! It’s all about owning your individual style.

Splash of Lime

Happy Saturday!!! Today I took classic colors and added a splash of lime for a little color pop! Classic colors with a pop of color is always a great way to give an outfit that little extra something…not too much, just a SPLASH!

Casual Friday

Happy Friday! For casual Friday I decided to go with a playful, trendy cheetah print and funky loafer. I decided to go with a black crop blazer to give it a little balance. I love the studded detail in my shirt as it matches the studs in my loafer.

Throwback Thursday

Every Thursday I will feature a “throwback” picture, and they won’t always be of me. However, since this is my first throwback Thursday I will feature myself : ) So here I am a couple of years ago at my sister’s 40th birthday party. The dress is an original design by myself from my second clothing line, the Shic Collection.  This dress is actually one of my favorites from the collection.

Viva La Color!!

As the summer is rapidly coming to an end, it’s a great time throw those bright colors into your wardrobe! Accenting your bright colors with a bright lip, statement jewelry,  and a nude shoe will give the perfect balance.

Mixing Neutrals

Neutral colors are very popular. You can always mix and match neutral colors to achieve a classic look. With neutrals, keep it simple or throw in a pop of color. Today, I chose to keep it classic.

Color Blocking

I love color blocking and there is no right and wrong way to mix your color combinations. Don’t be afraid of color. Play around with pieces in your closet to create totally different and new looks.

Hello World

I consider myself to be a true 80’s baby having been born in January of 1980. I’ve loved fashion for as long as I can remember. I recall watching the way my mother put pieces together. I loved the colors, patterns, shapes, shoulder pads, and dimensions. Today, my love affair with fashion has expanded as has my love and appreciation for all things vintage. As you embark on this journey with me, I hope you’ll share in the love for the styles, tips, and perspective I bring. First up, “Vintage in the City!”
