Tea, anyone?

Hi world! I call today’s look my little tea time look. This 50’s inspired look is great for any occasion. I gave balance to the green dress by adding a multi colored belt and a color blocked heel. Tea, anyone?😉

The Wrap Dress

Who doesn’t love a good wrap dress? It’s comfortable and fits well for any shape and size. I paired this fuscia wrap dress with a brown cami and brown strappy shoe. How do you wear your wrap dress?

Throwback Thursday!

Today’s throwback Thursday feature is very special to me. I had the honor of designing dresses for my beautiful sister and her beautiful best friend for their 40th birthday party. No pressure!! I was extremely nervous😁. Once they approved the sketches They gave me complete control on the looks. I think they looked absolutely amazing for their big night and I’m so honored I was able to participate in such a major way.

The 1st Day of Fall….

Fall is upon us! I couldn’t be more excited! This fall season is all about colors. Many designers featured bold, bright, and even pastel colors during their fall collections in February…so to start the season off I did a little color blocking. This look consists of vintage Ralph Lauren. I kept it classic but added a leap off print shoe and silver headband for balance. The headband offsets the silver in the belt and the shoe offsets the patent leather in the belt. Happy Fall!

Lemon Lime

So I’m sure you see by now that I love color! Today is no exception. I did a spin on a lemon lime type of vibe with this turquoise dress, yellow blazer and necklace. I added a snake skin peep toe to give the look some balance. Hope you like it😊

“SHIC” Feature

Every week, I will feature someone who is showcasing a fashion forward look! If you would like to be featured on The Shic Blog, send your pics to shicblog@gmail.com along with your name and why you chose your look. My first feature is of my amazing friend, Sharon Gray! Miss Sharon, Miss Sharon!! She slays this 1950’s look. The dress is a wonderful shade of blue and snatches the waist perfectly. The shoes and hairstyle compliment the look to make this oh so “Shic”!!! Well done Miss Gray. Well done! Follow Sharon Gray on IG @sharongray1

So last night was the 67th Annual Emmy Awards show! There was some impressive fashions, BUT my best dressed award goes to the oh so Fabolous Kerry Washington!!! She stunned in this Marc Jacobs gown straight from the runway of his 2016 Spring Collection. I also included a few of my other top picks…

Jumper or Jumpsuit?

What is it called??? Well, it’s really either or, lol. This look is one of the most versatile looks out there as it can be dressed up or down. I paired this jump-er with a red blazer, red lip, and funky headband to give it a bohemian “shic” look. How do you wear your jumper or jumpsuit?

The Tuxedo Blazer…

I’m so happy that the fall season is approaching. Why? I get to wear blazers!!!! I love blazers and can pair them with basically anything! This look is inspired by an ivory tuxedo blazer with leather lapels. I threw in a pop of color (of course) by adding a lime green pant. What do you think of the look?
