Retired Hot Girl….

Hi loves!!!! I hope everyone is having an amazing weekend! So, as I settle comfortably in my 40’s, I sometimes reflect on my younger age. Boy, I had some crazy times in my younger days, lol. I love the woman that I’ve become, I’m comfortable in my own skin, but I am also grateful for the growing pains and the journey it took to get me here. Don’t regret anything from your past; it’s your past that molds you and causes you to evolve. There’s no growth without trials and tribulations.

Sexy yet Classy

Hey loves!!! I know it’s been awhile. This is my first official post since our nation has experienced the worst plague to date; Covid-19. I hope everyone is safe and continuing to stay safe throughout this pandemic 😷! With that said, let’s talk about some fashion! I wanna speak a little about remaining classy even when trying to look sexy. Believe it or not, you can definitely accomplish both. Ladies, being sexy doesn’t mean showing all of your skin. Yes, being and feeling sexy is definitely about feeling comfortable in your own skin, but let’s also remember that every time you step out, you’re being watched and even judged by your appearance. Keep it sexy ladies, but also keep that element of surprise 😉

Travel In Style…

…..And the weather! I’ve noticed the fashion trends of “travel fashion” have evolved, and I love it! No more are the days of people just throwing on anything to travel in for the sake of being comfortable (although some still do). People are being more cognizant of what they wear to travel in. Being comfortable while still trendy is always a winner. Remember, everyday is a fashion show and the world is your runway. Stay “SHIC!”

Happy Halloween

Hi loves! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! Today’s colors are representative of the ghoulish day. I took simple black and white and paired it with an orange peacoat for a pop of color. Fifty shades of Fall continues!

RIP Kyrzayda Rodriguez….

My heart is heavy writing this post. Kyrzayda Rodriguez was fellow fashion blogger who not only exuded impeccable style and beauty, but tenacity as well. Kyrzayda was diagnosed with Stage 4 stomach cancer in November, 2017 after thinking she was experiencing food poisoning. Although I did not know her personally, I followed her on her journey to fight cancer in style while encouraging others to live their best lives. She was a true testament of not letting her illness define who she was and was determined to fight with grace. Kyrzayda lost her battle on Sunday, September 9th. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

The Passing of an Icon….

The fashion world has lost another icon. Fashion designer and style maven, Kate Spade, passed away in her New York City apartment of an apparent suicide. Kate Spade started her namesake fashion label with her husband, Andy Spade, in 1993. Mental illness is very real. I pray that her husband and daughter are able to fine peace in her memory and everlasting legacy.

Sunday Funday….

Hey guys! I hope everyone had a “shic” weekend. Yesterday I had the pleasure of joining one of my very good friends at a fashion swap for Thrift Atlanta. While we were there we took a few great shots! How did you all spend you your Sunday?

Easter Sunday!

Happy Resurrection Day all! Since my church is a bit casual, I decided to post my after church brunch look! I decided to go with a color block of green and mustard to offset the white. What do you think?
